| Summary | MAP-IT evaluates the effectiveness of practice facilitation on the integration of a task-shifting strategy for hypertension control (TASSH) into primary health centers. During the first phase (UG3), which took place in 2021-22, the study team employed the i-PARIHS framework to explore factors and support systems required for successful implementation and integration of TASSH into existing HIV chronic care platform, using that information to refine a context-specific practice facilitation strategy. During the implementation phase (UH3), MAP-IT will use the RE-AIM framework to study the effect of practice facilitation on TASSH adoption in primary health centers blood pressure control among 960 people living with HIV, and fidelity to TASSH and practice facilitation. Following the implementation stage, TASSH will continue at the PHCs without the support of practice facilitators. Six months following the start of the post-implementation stage, the study team will evaluate how well TASSH was sustained in the primary health centers. |
